A love story
Verona is a city that belongs to the Veneto region and is located in northern Italy.
Verona has become the symbol of love thanks to the opera "Romeo and Juliet" written by the famous playwright William Shakespeare. The story talks about the forbidden love of two young lovers, the idea of a love escape and their tragic end, this is because the families were in conflict with each other.
The Capulet and Montecchi families really existed - they are mentioned in Dante's Divine Comedy - their homes can still be visited today.
