The Wood and the Sea: the Centenary of Riccione
To celebrate the first hundred years of the Municipality of Riccione, CVC Riccione together with the Nautical Club and the ASD 151 H2O invite you to "Il Legno e il Mare in Riccione": the first gathering of historic wooden sailing boats.
From 24 to 26 June 2022, the promenade, the beach and the sea of Riccione will host beautiful specimens of wooden boats, faithfully restored and in perfect operating conditions.
You will have the opportunity to admire these boats up close, daughter of the skilful art of shipwrights, discover secrets and stories of going to sea of an ancient time and see the boats with their crews parading in the sea in front of the beach of Riccione.
During the three days of the meeting, the promenade and the sea of Riccione will host:
- a photographic journey and sharing of stories about the boats built by the best shipyards of the time and which have made generations of sailors sail along the waterfront from Piazzale Roma to Piazzale San Martino;
- exhibition of historic wooden boats in Piazzale San Martino;
- gathering at sea in the waters in front of the beach of Riccione, scheduled in the calendar of events FIV (Italian Sailing Federation);
- cultural and entertainment events in conjunction with the celebrations organized for the centenary of the Municipality of Riccione.
