The origins of this port date back to 1897, thanks to the generosity of Maria Boorman Ceccarini who used her own money to build a small port at the mouth of the Rio Melo.
A few years later, the same wife of Doctor Giovanni Ceccarini, at her own expense, built the homonymous and famous road, the entry point to the city from the sea.
To date, the port can accommodate up to 500 boats. The dock is equipped with all the necessary services for boats and is very close to the city center.
