THE HISTORY OF CLUBS
Are you coming to Riccione and don't you try the historic discos?
The answer is no.
Riccione has always been famous for its fantastic nightclubs since the 60s until today.
The history of the Romagna nightlife has distant roots, precisely in the 1960s.
The concept of the discotheque was very different from what it is now; in fact once they were more than anything else elegant rooms where you could dance, they opened around 21:00 and closed around 00:00.
Those were the years of live concerts by great Italian artists and singers such as Mina, Gianni Morandi and many others.
A historic disco from the 1980s that still exists today is the Pascia.
Born in Riccione in 1985 with the name Pacha. The structure was completely different from that of recent years since the restaurant offered only one room. One of the historical elements of the Pascia is the legendary Chandelier immortalized in the film "Il Gattopardo" by the director Visconti.
The Byblos is one of the particular discos of Riccione, opened in 1971 with the name of "Bilbò di Misano Monte".
This disco was born from the idea of Aldo Gennari and from the hand of the architect Tausani. Initially the structure was to be a Mediterranean-style villa located in the hinterland of Riccione a few steps from the wild nightlife of Riccione. But eventually a structure too large to be used as a home was created.
Once the villa was finished, the entrepreneur Giorgio Magrino, manager of a restaurant in Cortina, came forward and convinced everyone to transform the villa into a local.
The Imperial Bay was inaugurated in 1975 with the name of Baia degli Angeli.
In 1985 the restaurant was reopened with a completely different look with the name of Baia Imperiale.
The nightclub is located in the hills of Gabicce Mare, immersed in the greenery of the San Bartolo Park on a promontory overlooking the sea from which it is possible to admire the view.
The Cocoricò, one of the symbolic nightclubs of the city of Riccione, born in 1989.
Local symbol of techno music since the nineties.
A pyramid structure, which follows the idea of mystical ascension and transparent walls, which recall a vision of infinity.
In 2015 it ranked first among Italian discos and sixteenth among all discos in the world.
Prince born in 1989, currently known as the "Musica" was the protagonist of the nightlife of Riccione in 1989 with the name "Da Da".
It was proposed as a small club with transgressive and gay friendly evenings.
Unfortunately, the Da Da was not very successful and so in 1982 it became White Elephant, an elegant and refined club dedicated to a classic, elegant and wealthy audience.
The locola lives a period of success that unfortunately does not hold up for long and in 1993 the great turning point for the club takes place: a group of famous PR organizes a new club that debuts under the name Prince Pleasure Club.
In the summer of 2020 the name changes and becomes "Musica"; a renovated venue with a programming at the level of the best Italian clubs.
