SALUDECIO
Saludecio is an Italian town of 3 018 inhabitants in the province of Rimini, on the hills of Valconca, in Emilia Romagna.
It is inserted in the Valconca basin together with the municipalities of Mondaino and Montegridolfo.
The town, a Malatesta stronghold, is at the center of a crown of defensive castles, the last Rimini bulwark against the nearby Urbino of the Montefeltro.
The structure of the center still reveals its medieval structure today, with the maze of alleys enclosed by the walls and the monumental access gates: marine gate and mountain gate, for the defense towards the sea and towards the hinterland.
Today Saludecio is one of the main agricultural centers of the Rimini area.
The ancient places, the amenity of the landscape, the enchantment of its characteristic corners are elements of strong attraction for those who go in search of the flavors of the past and of the particular.
In Saludecio we also find contexts of fun and entertainment, in fact every year, for over forty years, the "800 Festival" has been organized, where the municipality of Saludecio dedicates one of the most anticipated events in the Romagna area and beyond to the nineteenth century.
This year the Municipality wants to celebrate together with its welcome guests an important milestone of this event, which kicked off all the other events that have taken place in Valconca after 800 FESTIVALs.
This year the atmosphere of celebration, carefree and great nineteenth-century Fair will be as always engaging.
Saludecio will be transformed into a colorful stage for shows: music, prose and dance, theater and art en plein air.
There will also be historical reconstructions by the Compagnia San Giorgio e il Drago and musical reinterpretations of the Neapolitan sounds of the late nineteenth century, in a contemporary key with Mario De Luca Trio.
Also on the program is a nineteenth-century comedy, with a national preview, such as “Padroni e Servi” staged by L'Armonda Teatro.
Along the walls, between circus and juggling performances, you can then come to know men and women who have come out of the pen of writers and poets, with "Theatrical ambushes" by Teatrotello.it (cultural cooperative of Jesi).
Among the lanes of the village you will instead meet reckless bicycles, but also the cursed poets and bewitching women of the Paris of the Belle Epoque of Il teatro dei Cinquequattrini.
Children and adults will also be catapulted into the fascinating world of Captain Nemo and Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea with Cinemamusicatronica.
The good news this year will be the splendid planetarium installed in the Perfume Garden by the Nicolò Copernico Astronomical Observatory in Saludecio, where every evening from 9 pm you can virtually travel the universe accompanied by an exciting soundtrack.
There will also be the classic taverns where you can stop to taste typical food and wine products and have the opportunity to meet some characters of the nineteenth century.
