SAGRA DELLA PATATA E FESTA DEGLI GNOCCHI - MONTESCUDO
The Pro loco di Montescudo organizes the 48th Potato Festival as always on the second weekend of August. During the event Montescudo is proposed as a wonderful corner of history and nature a few steps from the sea, where you can taste the renowned gnocchi, cod with potatoes, piadina and special recipes such as desserts and potato ice cream.
Saturday 13th August
Food stands open from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm with gnocchi, baked cod with potatoes, piadina and special recipes such as fried donuts, desserts and potato ice cream (desserts can also be enjoyed in the afternoon).
The orchestra show "ELENA CAMMARONE" will brighten the evening
Market fair from 17.00 to 24.00.
Sunday 14th August
Food stands open from 12.00 to 14.00 with gnocchi and wraps, the rest according to the availability of the products, and from 18.00 to 23.00 with gnocchi, baked cod with potatoes, piadina and special recipes such as fried donuts, desserts and potato ice cream .
The orchestra show "LA NUOVA ROMAGNA FOLK" will enliven the afternoon and evening.
In the late afternoon there will be a dance show by the "RIMINI DANCE COMPANY", the largest dance school in the entire Province of Rimini ..
Market fair from 8.00 to 24.00.
In the characteristic village of Montescudo, the Fiera del Perdono also takes place on the two days of the Potato Festival.
Here you can find the Montescudese potato (main product) sold directly by the producer to the consumer, the local wine ("Monte dello Scudo", Sangiovese Superiore d.o.c.), oil, mushrooms, honey, terracotta, local craftsmanship ( the rust printed canvases), with an adjoining general market.
An attraction not to be missed.
The food stands will be open from 18.00 to 23.00 both Saturday and Sunday with all potato products, and on Sunday you can also enjoy the gnocchi for lunch from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 23.00.
