BAY OF VALLUGOLA

Vallugola Bay is a wonderful inlet located between the promontories of Gabicce and Casteldimezzo.

But there is something much more intriguing and mysterious that links the name of this locality to the events of the disappeared city of Valbruna.

It is said that, in 1600, Raffaele Adimari found remains of bricks belonging to the fantastic submerged city of Valbruna.

This submerged city occasionally resurfaces in searches during scuba diving and in the random finds of fishermen's nets.

It is the remains of cities, columns, capitals, bricks, walls and other stones that feed the legend of this lost town.
